Our keeper girl, Gigi. So cute, fun and naughty! We love her.
Puppy Play
Down to three puppies…it seems so quiet! The only time it would ever seem easy to have three puppies is when you’re down from nine!
Dickens does not get picked up for a little bit yet, but he is having a camp over with a friend, for extra socialization. Here at home we have Gigi, Charlie and Heidi. Charlie and Heidi are still looking for their perfect homes. Such sweet babies! They already know “kennel up” and are doing amazing with potty training. We’ve been taking trips to the park and around town, to get some car ride time, check out new places and meet new people.
Charlie is usually the first puppy to crash. He will climb into their shared crate and start napping. Gigi follows him in, although Heidi would much prefer a lap for snuggling.
9 Week Old Evaluation
I can’t believe it has been 9 weeks. This litter has been so much fun!
All of these puppies have new homes.
Puppies stacked at 6.5 weeks
Not quite old enough for official evaluations, but the puppies starting to learn the stacking ropes. So happy with how this litter is turning out!
In birth order:
Puppy picture fun!
Puppy Toenails
Keeping your dog’s nails neatly trimmed not only looks nice, it also is less stress on the dog’s foot. No long nails to splay the feet out. No long nails to jab into your foot either!
We start when they are just babies, getting them used to getting the nails trimmed and also keeping the quick nice and short.
Having nine puppies means LOTS of nails to trim. I use a Dremel to grind the nails, which keeps them nice and smooth. For more detail, check out this old post.
First time outside
The puppies had their first venture outside today. They did great!
Starting to play!
The puppies’ eyes are open and they are starting to have short bursts of play. So cute to watch them wobble around and start to play with each other!
Lots and lots of pictures available at 2014 Litter.
Puppies starting to open eyes
Puppies are 10 days old today and we can start to see some little peepers opening.
Puppies Doing Great
Day three and the puppies are all gaining weight and doing well. We started the Bio Sensor program tonight.
With the help of my boys and my mom, we named the puppies alphabetically in birth order (well, for the c-section group, we made up the order):
